ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV w/ HumidAir Humidifier & ClimateLineAir Tubing

The  AirCurve 10 ASV is a bi-level machine that is specifically intended to offer personalized therapy for patients with central breathing disorders, including central sleep apnea (CSA), Cheyne-Stokes respiration, and other related obstructive episodes.

The AirCurve 10 ASV is the only servo-ventilator that effectively targets your recent minute ventilation, featuring one of the most advanced and proven ASV algorithm’s ever tested. With ASV Auto, the machine adapts to your ventilatory and upper airway stability needs with every breath. These rapid pressure responses help personalize effective therapy.

The ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV algorithm learns the patient’s recent minute ventilation (MV) by mapping 13 points in the patient’s breath cycle. When pressure support or EPAP are necessary to stabilize ventilation, the algorithm responds rapidly mapping these seamlessly into the patient’s breath cycle.

The AirCurve 10 ASV learns, predicts, responds to and optimizes pressures to suit each patient’s own unique breathing pattern.

Features

VSync

Vsync is a leak management system that helps provide patient-ventilator synchronization. This system is available on all VPAP devices and helps to ensure that your therapy is comfortable and leak free.

Minute Ventilation

Minute Ventilation (MV) calculates tidal volume and respiratory rate over 13 points in each breath cycle, the minute ventilation algorithm rapidly adapts to changing ventilation needs automatically adjusting pressure support to break the cycle of hyperventilation and central events.

Climate Control Technology

Throughout therapy, the device will deliver comfortable humidity & temperature levels right at the mask. Climate Control is the inbuilt HumidAir humidifier system and the ClimateLineAir heated tube system. Climate Control is an intelligent feature that is capable of adapting to the temperature and humidity conditions available in the environment where the device is used. Thus, the system will deliver optimal temperature and humidity for the best breathing comfort all throughout the treatment.

HumidAir Humidifier

The new HumidAir heated humidifier is a part of every AirCurve VPAP and the design is smaller than the humidifiers in previous ResMed models. This makes your entire machine smaller and more portable. For patients who don't normally use heated humidification, you still have the option of removing the humidifier from the device entirely, or not filling the water chamber.

EPR

EPR is capable of determining when you are breathing unnaturally, if you have an apnea that lasts for more than ten seconds, EPR will stop functioning, (meaning air pressure will be constant), until your normal breathing cycle resumes.

Pressure Range

Has a pressure range of 3-25 cm H20, which is a wider pressure range than in a standard CPAP device. The VPAP ST is intended for patients with central sleep apnea, who generally need more air pressure than patients with obstructive sleep apnea.

Smart Start/Stop

 When you take your first breath into your mask, SmartStart will automatically turn your machine on, then when you remove your mask SmartStop will automatically shut your device off. This technology not only makes it easier to operate your machine it also helps conserve machine power.

Ramp

The ramp function allows users to artificially suspend the influx of pressure for a specified period of time (between 5 and 45 minutes).

Big Buttons, Bright Screen

The AirCurve 10 ASV features intuitive controls that make operating the device easy on the user. The machine features large and easy to press buttons, a brightly lit LCD screen, and an interface that can be navigated quickly and logically. Don’t worry about the screen being too bright at night: the machine has an ambient light detector that dims the light slightly in the dark, so it won’t wake your partner.

Mask Fitting

A special function that will visually indicate whether your mask has been fitted correctly and is, therefore, providing an effective seal. When your mask is installed, the AirCurve 10 ASV will display either a smiling face or a frown face, a smiling face means that your seal is effective while a frown indicates that your seal is defective and your mask fit needs to be corrected.
